Can you believe it's the last week of school before the half term again? This weekend is absolutely packed with activities to choose from, but please check our what's on calendar for more ideas and information.

The Brooklands Vintage Festival at Brooklands Museum on Saturday is a celebration of the music, fashion, style and dancing of the '40s, '50s and '60s. The day will include a vintage shopping village, aircraft fly-ins, lots of dancing, food, drink, a fancy dress competition and more.

Steam in Miniature at Hollycombe Steam Museum on Saturday and Sunday is another celebration of the past, with displays of minature traction engines for children to see and understand.

Meanwhile, Bramley Village Fete on Saturday will have lots of food and drink, music from local bands, schools and choirs, games and races and shopping to keep you entertained. Fingers crossed for dry weather.

Saturday is the day the teddy bears have their picnic at the Rural Life Centre. Take your favourite cuddly toy along for a host of teddy bear related activities. incuding storytelling, a teddy train throughout the museum, face painting, a picnic in the grounds and a teddy disco!

Take part in the Pirbright Charity Fun run on Sunday. This event has 5k and 10k routes that are suitable for children and dogs. Just turn up and pay on the day, with all the money going to charity.

The Watercress Festival is a FREE food festival taking place in the streets of Alresford on Sunday. This huge event will include over 100 stalls, a parade of musicians, dancers and children, performances on a main stage, circus skills workshops, face painting, entertainment, a petting farm and much more. Sounds amazing.

It's also open afternoon on Sunday at the Great Cockrow Railway and Guildford Model Engineering Society, or you can try a spot of geocaching at Shalford Mill.

A Terrific Tree Trail is available at Box Hill this week. Follow the trail and find the QR codes to discover fascinating facts about the trees.

The History Walk at Claremont Landscape Gardens this week takes you on a journey through time in a garden that was once the playground of royalty.

Buggyfit at Polesden Lacey on Monday and Thursday is a post natal exercise program that aims to help strengthen and stabilise the post pregnancy body, specifically targeting those weaker muscles. Classes vary each week to always keep exercises interesting and fun in the fabulous fresh air and beautiful grounds of Polesden Lacey.

Wharf Weenies at Dapdune Wharf on Thursday is a special session for young visitors and their grown ups. Story time, fun craft activities and a chance to run around outside all based around children's stories. Go suitably dressed for being outdoors, and there will be some walking involved. 18 months plus.

Keep your fingers crossed for good weather and join in with the Busylizzy and Mummies Club picnic in Guildford on Friday. The event will take place on the grass by the food hut at Stoke Park and there will be outdoor toys to entertain toddlers. No need to book.

Harry and the Dinosaurs at Haslemere Museum on Friday is an Early Years event for children under five and their parents or carers.Join in to hear this popular story, take a look at the marvellous fossils in the Geology Gallery and get hands-on with lots of dinosaur colouring activites. No need to book.
