DESCRIPTION:\n	Little Legs for Life raises funds for Cancer Research and is
returning to Walton-On-Thames for the 5th year. We are delighted that loc
al estate agents\, Rochills\, are generously sponsoring this year&amp\;#39
\;s event.\n	All children\, of any age and from any school\, are welcome t
o enter - entry is £6.50 per child and this includes a t-shirt and medal.
\n	\n	In the case of Burhill\, Bell Farm and Cardinal Newman\, race packs
will be delivered to schools - other schools\, you can collect from a comm
ittee member\, or have the pack delivered to your home (£2 postage per fa
mily).\n	\n	If you can help us promote Little Legs for Life by handing out
  leaflets in your child&amp\;#39\;s school\, sports club\, scout/brownie g
roup then we&amp\;#39\;d love to hear from you!\n	\n	We are of course\, al
ways on the lookout for raffle and auction prizes\, so if you&amp\;#39\;re
able to help\, please get in touch: littlelegsforlife@hotmail.co.uk\n\n
\n\n	A bit more background about the event: Standing outside their childr
en&amp\;#39\;s classroom one afternoon\, 2 mums got to talking about the R
ace for Life and what a shame it was that boys couldn&amp\;#39\;t take par
 t.  &quot\;What a pity they don&amp\;#39\;t do a kid&amp\;#39\;s Race for
Life&quot\; - were words that sparked the idea for what is now called &qu
ot\;Little Legs for Life&quot\;. \n\n	The original idea was to get 100 ch
ildren to take part in a sponsored walk/run of 500m laps around a local sc
hool field.  As the committee grew and more ideas were thrown together\,
it became clear the event was going to be bigger than we first thought!\n
\n	On 28th June 2009\, at Esher Rugby Club\, 250 children ran their hearts
out and raised more than £14 000!!\n	\n	In 3 years\, Little Legs for Lif
e has raised over £50 000 in Walton-On-Thames.....but what makes us most
proud is the fact that other committees have loved the idea and held Littl
e Legs for Life events of their own!!
