Sport Academies

My 4 year old daughter spent a week at the Sport Academies sports camp at St George's College, Weybridge last week and had a fantastic time.

As she is still only 4 I was unsure as to how involved she would get in the variety of sports that the camp offers and how much the coaches could actually do with such young children, but I needed have worried as every day she came home having experienced something new and exciting.

From cricket to football, tennis (a real favourite) to karate (yes, karate!) and the ever popular parachute (to name but a few of the activities she did) she loved it and was excited to be going back every day.

At 3 hours long (9 to 12) it was about the right length to tire her out but not too long that she became bored or too tired (and grumpy). The coaches seemed to have a real bond with the children and clearly love their jobs - I felt very happy and comfortable leaving her in their (very capable) care each day. It was my (and her) first experience of summer camp and it was a real winner!

We are going back for another week later in the summer and are already looking forward to it!
