Surge is the easiest bionicle we have made, but does have a good selection of weapons to play with. If you are looking for a quick and easy Bioicle to play with then Surge would be a good one to get.

EASE OF USEThere are not as many pieces as some other models, and they go together easily with the excellent instructions.

DURABILITYThe good quality plastic pieces are robust and unlikely to break under normal play. This toy can be re-made many times.

VISUAL APPEALThe finished model is one of the coolest we have seen in the smaller Bioncile range.

FUNCTIONALITYIt's good to build, but you cannot really make anything else from these pieces, hence only a 3 star rating. You could combine it with pieces from other models though.  

COST EFFICIENCYIt is good value at less than £10, but many children will want more than one of these to play battles, so you could end up spending a lot on a collection

ORIGINALITYThe Bionicle brand has been around a long time, and Lego have many variations on this model.  That does not detract from this being a good example of the range

OVERALL RATINGIt’s a good make but there are better models in the range in our son’s opinion
