Baby injured in River Thames pram plunge E-mail

Get Surrey reports: A five-month-old baby boy is in hospital with head injuries after the pram he was being carried in plunged in to the River Thames near Laleham.

The baby, along with another child, was being taken for a walk with his father along the stretch of river by Penton Road at around 11.30am on Friday (August 31), when the incident happened.

Surrey Police said the baby, who has not been named, was taken to St Peter's Hospital in Chertsey where he is receiving treatment for head injuries.

Now the force is hoping those who were in the area at the time will come forward to shed light on how the events unfolded.
