Get Surrey Reports: A renewed appeal for information has been made after a father was viciously assaulted in front of his 16-month-old baby and wife after leaving GuilFest on Friday evening (July 13).

Police are asking for the driver and four passengers of a car involved in the incident to come forward.

The victim, 39, had signalled to the speeding vehicle to slow down so that his wife and child could cross Kings Road in Guildford - but a passenger got out and headbutted him and punched him to the ground.

The man suffered serious head injuries and remains critically ill at St George's Hospital in Tooting, south London.

The incident took place between 6.30pm and 6.45pm on Friday, the first day of the music festival.
